About the function
Reporting to the Regional Director, the function of the Manager Regional Housing is a key part of the regional service delivery leadership abilities team. Information technology provides effective leadership abilities of the regional housing team, efficient operational management of services across multiple sites, and ensures the delivery of MSD regional Housing Services.
this function is responsible for regional planning, resource allocation, building a people centric culture of high performance, ensuring quality service delivery and driving best practice in the delivery of Regional Housing Services. This mainly includes, Regional Housing Expert Advice on options for and avoidance of homelessness, Emergency and Transitional Housing, Public Housing Register Management and Staircasing Whanau towards a Place to call Home.
A key part of this function is developing and maintaining strong relationships with housing providers, housing support services, local government, key agencies and the wider community to work in partnership to achieve positive impacts and sustainable housing results.
About you
Your welcoming approach and Man?akitanga with our people will enable you to understand how to best lead the Housing team across the Bay of Plenty Region.
You will be a proven change leader – at a strategic and operational level, as you will be responsible for leading the prosperous implementation of Regional and National plans and initiatives to achieve prosperous results. You'll also be practiced in applying significant legislation in the delivery of housing services, and leading regional Housing operations results through comprehensive multi-agency response in a complex and diverse social sector environment, including managing media and ministerial enquiries.
You will need to be an innovative and inspirational leader who can embed an outcome focussed culture within a busy service delivery environment and has significant practice in building effective relationships and partnerships with other key agencies at all levels across a large multi-disciplinary regional team. Ideally you will also have existing community connections, which will facilitate future conversations and information sharing.
You will be someone who can motivate, coach, encourage and inspire your team to excel. Your capability to establish credibility and manage relationships across diverse internal and external audiences will be evidenced in previous functions.

Due to portfolio coverage of the Bay of Plenty region, a availability to travel to fulfil job requirements and a current full New Zealand licence without restrictions is required.
What we offer
Remuneration for this function starts at $100,014 (band MSS05), dependent on significant leadership abilities practice and evidenced expertise.
