On-site staff accommodation available with bills included. Kayaks, bikes and hot tub available to use. 30-40 hours per week $23- $26 per hour depending on capability and practice. We can support up to 3 sponsored work visas if you need one and meet the crtieria. Kinloch Wilderness Retreat is building the team as visitor numbers recover and is seeking hospitality all-rounders. The General Staff function includes working across the following areas in our small family run business, with varied day-to-day tasks depending on the season, the number and mix of in-house guests and continuing project work :- Housekeeping: room makeovers, processing laundry, cleaning of communal areas, walkways, garden furniture etc. Restaurant: food preparation, breakfast cooking, bartender/barista, table service. Helping in retreat activities, setting up for meetings, yoga sessions. Garden and grounds maintenance, spa pool cleaning, painting and decorating. Assisting at the Glenorchy Lake House and Trading Post - our small B&B and shop in Glenorchy 6 months practice in a hospitality environment is essential. Training will also be provided to enable you to become a good all-round performer and we have task descriptions and procedures in place to underpin this. About you: Passionate about making something very special, a passion for people, food and nature. capability to thrive in both busy and quiet environments. Reliable, self-aware, attention to detail, adaptable. Great interpersonal expertise. Able to legally drive a motor vehicle in NZ. Kinloch Wilderness Retreat is surrounded by the beech forest alongside Lake Wakatipu and the Dart River. We are a small family business consisting of a lodge with heritage rooms (from 1868!), backpacker rooms, EcoScapes, and a cozy restaurant serving breakfast and dinner. We are constantly working towards lightening our impact on the planet and helping guests enjoy a mindful, relaxing environment. Last year we put in a yurt, nested in the beech forest above the lodge, and are working towards a retreat located environment.
