This means understanding the the power of colours, colour trends, psychology, design theory, and visual effects. You're using your expertise to help customers achieve their design goals. Customers will come into the store with photos, colour swatches / samples of their current colour or what they are trying to achieve and the consultants are there to help them make sure they are heading down the right track. Other duties will include ensuring cleanliness of the sales area, helping customers with locating product, some lifting of product may be required. Engaging potential customers to use the Valspar brand. As a colour consulant you'll be working with Valspar products every 1st and 3rd Saturday each month at the Mitre 10 Mega Store promoting their products and chatting to customers. What we require: » Being a customer champion and advocate » Colour qualifications or background in interior design hugely beneficial » Have previous experience in a Customer Service or Contact Centre environment » Exceptional communication skills including confidence to seek customers out » Hold good relationship management skills » Sound numeracy skills » Good time management skills » The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change.
