Job Offer: Curator (Exhibitions & Public Programmes):Job description:Job detailsOrganisation Enjoy Contemporary Art Space Closes 21 May 2021 Posted on 26 Mar 2021 Region Wellington Work type Part time employment, Fixed Term Work classification Visual Arts ShareEnjoy Contemporary Art Space is seeking a Curator (Exhibitions & Public Programmes) to join our small team in P?neke.Founded as an artist-run space in June 2000, Enjoy is Wellington's longest-running independent contemporary art space. this function will work closely with the Director, the Enjoy Board of Trustees and volunteers to deliver a brave and lively programme that delivers to Enjoy's overall vision and mission. You will need to be resourceful, organised, work well with others and care deeply about contemporary art in Aotearoa. The Curator (Exhibitions & Public Programmes) function works closely with the Director to shape the curation of Enjoy's programming, supervise a confident and inquisitive public programme of events and support day-to-day gallery operations. The function works with artists, volunteers, performers and technicians to deliver a programme of exhibitions and public events that upholds the gallery's vision and mission. The function will suit someone who is passionate about cultivating community relationships, helping a diverse range of audiences participate and engage in contemporary art. This is an exciting opportunity to be a core member of a small and dynamic arts team, appropriate for those with interest in developing practice in contemporary arts curation, administration, education outreach and event programming.
