We are seeking for one or two people to join our team. We are lucky enough to get thousands of customers through our doors every year so you need to be more than capable in a busy environment and comfortable under pressure. The prosperous applicant needs to be available until at least the end of January, preferably longer. We would love a couple or friends as we realy could do with two people. Preference would be given to people with barista expertise or kitchen practice but equally people with an easily activated common sense mode are also very appealing. Coffee making is a core component of our business as we make well over 400 high quality espresso located drinks per day through summer, so if you are not up to scratch you will be exposed very quickly. We are realistic that people like this are hard to find but Somebody with potential can and will be trained up to the levels needed at this cafe. We have a reputation around Canterbury for making consistently great coffee and we need that reputation to be maintained. The ideal candidate must be confident and capable both front and back of house, able to turn their hand at whatever we throw their way. We operate both a brunch menu and a display cabinet from our kitchen. Information technology can be an extremely busy environment with lots of moving parts. You will need to be happy working closely with a team. The work involves cooking to order, baking cakes and sweets and general food preparation. We have hired tourists via this web site for ten years now and have really enjoyed having a diverse range of people that come to work with us. We have met some wonderful people from all over the world that we still keep in contact with now.
