Farm adjunct For Dairy And Support Farms:Job description:Farm adjunct For Dairy And Support FarmsPayment: Accommodation & Paid ($23/hour)Job location: Ashburton Region: Christchurch & Canterbury practice: Limited practice Necessary Listing Added: 07/10/2021 We are seeking for a farm adjunct to join a team of six on a family owned and operated dairy farm, 30km from Ashburton. This is a fixed term position for up to six months starting mid/late September. The position would involve working alongside fellow team members with dairy cows and young stock. Tasks include shifting and maintaining irrigation, milking and shed cleaning, feeding calves, working with all stock classes (shifting and feeding) and some general farm work. Tractor practice would help, but is not essential. A positive and polite attitude, coupled with a strong work ethic is a must. We milk 800 cows through a largely automated 60 bail rotary dairy. The farm is essentially flat and well laid out. Accommodation is provided. You will require your own transport. The farm is smoke free and drug free. candidates need to have reasonable English and a current working holiday visa. Skills:
