About the function:
To help achieve the Capital Projects works programme for infrastructure projects We are seeking for qualified professionals across practice levels with a focus on, but not limited to, transportation and roading projects. To be prosperous in these functions and depending on your years of practice, you will possess stakeholder management expertise, and be able to influence external consultants and contractors to deliver these outsourced projects. You will provide project management oversight for capital and renewal projects managing consultants and or contractors ensuring completion is on time, within budget, scope, and quality.
What you will bring:
You will have up to 3+ years of practice as a Project Manager within infrastructure, engineering, capital works, client-side, or consultancy within NZ, and We are seeking for motivated Project Managers who have a availability to work across a breadth of technical projects, able to support and be supported by the Senior Project Managers and looking development in their careers to step up to the next level. We would also like you to hold a Project Management qualification.
We would also welcome applications from Graduate Project Managers who have worked as part of a project team but have not yet physically managed nor delivered a project. You will be given all the support and development you need to execute tasks to a high level with strong mentorship and growth opportunities internally.
You will be working across a variety of projects in these functions, and in addition to the expertise mentioned above you must possess excellent communications and relationship management expertise as you will be representing Council all over the project's lifespan to delivery, therefore you must be able to influence the delivery of projects through engagement with external parties. You will be highly motivated and possess a positive attitude to contribute to a wide variety of projects, underpinned by a significant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering and a project management qualification.
