You have a great attention to detail and neat personal presentation. The prosperous candidate has a strong sense of self – efficacy. You have a “can do” attitude when facing a challenging task; and you are fascinated by learning. And above all you never give up! Working in the small but busy Maintenance department. Your team looks after a 148 room hotel, swimming pool, gym, sauna, restaurants and conference rooms. You will be responsible for providing assistance to the department in ensuring that all hotel areas are kept to the highest standards at all times. This diverse function encompasses varying degrees of trade including plumbing, building maintenance, painting and general handyman tasks. On a everyday basis you will carry out general maintenance requests, complete preventative maintenance checks, paint and touch up guest rooms and hotel public areas. You must be able to work weekends and public holidays. Work practice -Communicates proficiently (verbal and written) in English language -Has a good level of fitness for a demanding and busy job -Is able to work over a 7 day working week roster -significant trade qualification or practice is preferred -Previous practice in a similar function (within accommodation sector preferred) -Professional painting and/or interior decoration practice is an advantage -Swimming and spa pools management qualification is an advantage.
