Customers can refuel and take in the beautiful lake and mountain views! In summer we have alfresco dining on the spacious balcony and in winter the warm open fire is exactly the comfort our customers are craving. A focus for our café is our 720-coffee blend, roasted on-site they are the highest-altitude roasted beans in New Zealand! We also offer a full cooked menu with a variety of delicious options that change with the seasons. We have vegetarian and gluten-free options, plus cabinet food, ice-creams, and sweet treats. In addition, Altitude 720 is a fully licensed bar and stocks an excellent range of New Zealand beer, wine, and spirits as well as a few international favourites. The Opportunity Following the recent resignation of our current manager We are seeking for an practiced driven Senior Cafe manager to move Altitude 720 forwards, growing and succeeding as a key part of Tekapo Springs. The existing team is strongly practiced and ready to help assist in your success. As you will be a part of a larger business you will have access to support and mentorship to help you achieve including a Finance Team, Human Resources and Strategic Mentorship from our Operations and General Manager. Responsibilities In this function you would take on a wide variety of responsibilities including but not limited to many of these tasks would be carried out in conjunction with our operations manager… » Managing day-to-day operations of the café. » Hire onboard and train new staff. » Report writing. » Operation of our IBIS point of sale system. » Stocktakes » Managing our Food Safety Plan and liquor licensing » Train, coach, mentor and motivate our team - on both hard expertise (e.g proper use of equipment) and soft expertise (customer service). » Rostering and time sheeting for payroll. » Coordinate with suppliers and place orders, as needed. » Work with your team to imagine new and attractive menu offerings. » Building relationships with local customers to increase loyalty and boost our reputation. » You will also take an active function in all day-to-day café tasks including customer service, coffee making, kitchen and cleaning.
