Senior Policy Analyst x2Job location:Wellington Wellington Central Work Type: Permanent » » » »$77k-$116k income »Permanent function »Supportive & Inclusive Team The function These functions play a key part within the Policy & Organisational Strategy Group of our leading Public Sector Client. The main function of the function is providing detailed advice to assist Ministers and others making critical decisions on complex issues, which relate to the care and wellbeing of New Zealanders who will engage with these parties now, and in the future. tasks • Contribute to the continuing development of the business unit, and the Policy & Organisational Strategy Group. • Deliver high quality specialist and analytical policy advice. • Provide mentoring and support the professional development of less practiced analysts. • Represent the Organisation in the State Sector policy development process including taking part in, and leading inter-organisational working groups. • Develop and maintain productive and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders. Skills & practice • Highly developed analytical skills and be keen to developing & maintain skills and knowledge in own area of skills. • Comprehensive practice at an Analyst or Senior level in the policy development space. • knowledge of parliamentary processes and the workings of legislation. • A significant tertiary qualification is desirable. • A availability to travel within New Zealand to fulfil the requirements of the function is a bonus. • knowledge and appreciation of cross-cultural issues and concerns, in particular, knowledge of tikanga M?ori, and Pacific peoples’ culture.
