Due to organisational growth and various acquisitions the business has been growing from strength to strength, however this growth has identified potential opportunities to drive cost and efficiency savings through economies of scale and driving robust procurement strategies across the group. this function's key focus is to establish the procurement methodology, analyse the existing spend and suppliers, develop the strategy to move forward and subsequently implement the plan, to improve supplier relationships, create consistency in supply chain, and reduce the annual spend across consumables, indirects and other areas. This is a new function in the business and the contract nature will identify the vicapability of a local procurement function on an continuing basis. As my clients is a large Australasian company, they have several existing contracts in place that are fixed across Australia and New Zealand that are very competitive and partner with reliable suppliers, however there are a number of local suppliers across different organisations in the group and different managers, that can easily be rationalised and improved. Ideally you will have strong expertise in identifying opportunities deliver saving and how the business can benefit from scale. You will have excellent stakeholder management expertise and the capability to analyse information and use that information to develop procurement strategies that will financially benefit the organisation.
