We have a part time position available from the end of January (start date negotiable although preferably earlier rather than later if possible). We would prefer that you are able to work with us for a minimum of 4 weeks, but we would consider a shorter stay. The job is casual and provides approx. 17-25 hours average per week (between 9.00 am - 2.00 pm) – possibility of extra hours, usually with 1 or 2 days off per week. Cleaning practice is an advantage but a friendly personality, a great attitude, and attention to detail are more important, and training will be provided. The wage is $21.00 per hour, plus 8% holiday pay of $1.68 making Information technology a total of $22.68 per hour. candidates must be physically fit, hardworking and have high standards of detail, delivered with a smile :) tasks include making beds, cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, vacuuming, washing floors and windows. Good communication expertise, and knowledge English is preferential, but that is not too critical if we’re able to understand each other! NZ Citizenship, residence, or an NZ working holiday visa and IRD number are required. Free endlessWi-Fi and laundry, and if you are travelling in a self-contained vehicle, you are welcome to stay on-site if that works for you. Picton is the heart of the Marlborough Sounds! Come and practice the tranquillity of our picturesque hiking trails and water excursions to explore the sounds or even the Queen Charlotte track. Everything in Picton is walking distance, with hiking, kayaking, mountain biking and good places to eat! Once you’re done working in the morning, enjoy all that Picton and the Marlborough sounds have to offer in the afternoon or on your off days!
