The details: Full or part time options, fixed term 3-6 months with view to extend
We are seeking for Kai Manaaki to support our Covid 19 vaccine implementation programme. This will be the largest vaccination campaign in New Zealand’s history, and we need your help to ensure a free vaccine is available to everyone in Aotearoa.
Kaimanaaki are the navigators of Manaakitanga (People at Heart) - The Waikato DHB strategy. Waikato's Covid response is founded by the Maori King's proverbial saying - Amohia ake te ora o te iwi, Ka puta ki te whei ao - The wellbeing of our people is paramount. Kai Manaaki uphold these values ensuring that each person is cared for during their vaccination practice. They will help people with their specific needs; they will also provide relief admin support and help the Centre manager where necessary.
Required expertise & practice:
   » Cultural and lived practice supporting others
   » capability to move comfortably in M?ori or Pasifika communities
   » Excellent knowledge of Tikanga M?ori
   » Administrative practice in a customer focused function
COVID-19:
The Waikato District Health Board Health & Safety has a policy that includes ensuring that you comply with the Health Order announced 11 October 2021 and with the Waikato DHB's Vaccine Preventable Diseases for Employees policy. The policy prescribes the required vaccinations including COVID19 for all employees of Waikato DHB. COVID-19 vaccinations are mandatory before you commence employment.
