This is a tech company who are creating a platform where value is placed on our environment. This organisation have created a platform where you can measure data on pro-environment activities; think biodiversity, elimination of synthetic fertilizers, improving freshwater, soil health, diverse pastures. Sound cool? Information technology is! And it’s a slingshot, ready for take-off. The team is located between Gisborne, Auckland and Wellington – you could be anywhere, your location is no restriction.
 
The Job
At the heart of this function we need an practiced people leader, you’ll have the track record and be able to tell the story of what Information technology took to achieve success – and we want to hear it. Currently this team is made up of 12; specialists delivery (scientist, banker) finance and corporate services (communications, HR and policy development) and is expected to double in the next 12 months. This business are breaking-through the norms of business, investment and philanthropy – and your function will follow the diversity and growth this business is in. Your core purpose is to:
   » Design and deliver reliable products, services and processes.
   » Enable the business to have strong operational foundations so they are ready for a prosperous market launch and then scale.
   » Specialist design/delivery (for investment, finance, claims, legal, accounting and communications functions)
   » Market operations
   » Build a people and culture strategy, including recruiting top talent
   » Work intimately with the ‘generate’ and ‘build’ team leaders as well as the Founders and Board.
 
We would like to take someone on as a contractor or on a FTC until the end of Dec 2022, to align with the company’s growth targets. There will highly likely be opportunity for a standout candidate to continue on into a COO function, once Information technology is mapped out in the coming months.
 
The Ideal Person To succeed in this function Information technology is essential there is value alignment, but more importantly this person will be a grafter. There is so much to do, you’ll roll your sleeves up and get building from day one. You need to be able to motive and anticipate the needs of this team, and be super organised. You’ll have a high level of emotional intelligence, be commercially savvy, curious, love empowering experts in their fields, have no ego, be flexible, committed, open-minded, the list goes on. We’d like to see someone whose project managed or coordinated a complex delivery of really ambitious projects – even better if you’re resources have been constrained to get there (eg not-for-profit).
 
We’re open to the industry you’ve come from, rather we’re looking for someone whose proven leading an operational team to growth.
