Key expertise and practice » Excellent communication and interpersonal expertise » Exceptional customer service expertise » Strong organisational expertise » Strong verbal and written communication expertise including report writing – Essential » Strong financial and cash handling expertise » High standard of personal presentation » Confident in supervising staff » Able to think on their feet and solve problems calmly » Local and international hospitality practice in similar establishments » Minimum 3 years’ practice » Flexible working hours » Current eligibility to work in New Zealand » Managers Certificate holder Key Responsibilities » To ensure a high level of communication is maintained between Front of House and all other departments within the hotel » Provide exceptional customer practices and ensure high satisfaction levels » supervise and support Housekeeping and Maintenance operations » Guest arrivals and departures » Ensuring that the everyday financial transactions of the hotel are accurately recorded and communicated, including balancing of the float and banking and superviseing accounting activities such as department cash ups and night audits » Responsibility for key initiatives, such as book direct guests and promotional targets, ensuring these are phased down to the hotel manager » Take responsibility for extra management tasks, as required, in the absence of hotel management including security arrangements, and property maintenance » Have an consciousness of and comply with all significant internal rules, policies and procedures, including those relating to Health and Safety » Assist guests with information about tourism and enjoyable activities in Auckland and New Zealand, including arranging travel, tours and accommodation.
