This is a newly created position with a view to drive the function both strategically and operationally into the next phase. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a genuine leadership abilities function that will work to set the strategic direction along with the wider SLT group but also has the rare opportunity to contribute and add value to the day to day functions of the team.What will you be doing? As a results orientated person, you will take charge of setting in place the strategy of the procurement group in relation to the wider business, but more importantly will be able to translate this into action. You will be future focussed and able to bring various stakeholders together to shape, define and respond to the unique challenges ahead. What am I looking for in you? » A natural and demonstrated leader within the procurement industry who possess a commercial acumen that allows you to both manage complex situations but also quickly identify opportunities. » High level of knowledge of the Government Rules of Procurement, OAG guidelines and any other mandated requirements, with an capability to interpret at a high level. » Demonstrated practice setting in place procurement policy and framework that supports a best practice approach and drives towards a centre of excellence environment. » Strong knowledge of the IT/ICT landscape and previous involvement setting strategy within a wider Enterprise Change programme. » Detailed knowledge and knowledge of the legalities and risks within contract management and an capability to demonstrate prosperous results. » capability to demonstrate success building a high performance team and culture.
