This approach continues to bring success and growth. An opportunity has arisen for an excellent candidate to join us in the capacity of Administrator within our Decorative Arts department. The Decorative Artauctions cover a wide array of periods and styles from early-European antiques to mid-century design. this function will suit an organised and practiced admin professional with a background and or demonstrated interest in Art and Design. The key to this function, will be the capability to develop strong relationships to assist in continuing to grow the Decorative Arts portfolio. The function » Assisting theDepartment with all administrative processes for the company which includes some of the following: » Liaising with vendors/clients regarding arrival of stock for sale and return of goods if unsold » Managing and maintaining departmental contracting (Agent Agreements) Managing property flow and stock control procedures » Ensuring that all stock is immediately unpacked, labelled & photographed on arrival » Assisting Specialists/Consultants with cataloguing of items (both on and off-site) » Assisting the Photographer with the identification of stock to be shot for both printed and online catalogues » Managing all inward and outward freight including liaising with vendors/clients » Assisting the Senior Decorative Arts team with all marketing materials » Ensuring departmental catalogues and other marketing materials are uploaded to live bidding platforms » Auction / venue set-up including installation and lotting » Managing condition report requests » Assisting with Auctions re: viewing, telephone bidding and live bidding platforms Desirable Attributes » A demonstrated interest or previous working practice within Art and Design » A high level of administration practice » Full Drivers Licence (required for the function) » Strong oral and written communication skills. » Organisational skills, capability to meet tight deadlines » IT: Word, Excel » Able to undertake physical elements of the function includinglifting and handling of decorative art pieces - some of which can be heavy This is a full-time position, and due to the nature of our business, may require some weekend work therefore flexibility is required. You must have Legal right to work and live in NZ.
