The Department of Internal Affairs' Digital Safety team is a risk-located, responsive and modern regulator providing effective regulatory services in an increasingly complex, borderless, and digital world.We are seeking for an Advisor Engagement and Innovation to manage our KIRO social media accounts.
You will be joining a team where we work to ensure the online safety of New Zealanders. Here you will get to work on projects such as our award-winning consciousness campaignKeep Information technology Real Online.
About the function:
In this function you will be part of a dedicated and focused team that delivers collaborative innovation and effective engagement to help ensure the online world is a safe place for everyone. The work you do will increase New Zealanders trust and confidence with the online environment and enhance New Zealand's international reputation.
Your success in this function will be your capability to engage with a wider group of stakeholders, to develop initiatives to deepen public expertise about online safety; and championing innovation in everything you do.
The scope of this function includes:
   » The capability to manage multiple social media channels
   » Help to implement social media strategy to align with team goals
   » An innovative mindset with the capability to target the right information to the right public.
   » Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content on a regular basis
   » A high standard of verbal and written communication expertise - including strong attention to detail
   » Self-motivation, drive, results orientation and the capability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred candidates might be required to undergo psychometric profiling as part of our selection criteria. There may be minimal exposure to harmful content due to the nature of the work.
