There are a mixture of fixed-term and permanent functions available. Secondments are welcomed. » Advisors » Senior Advisors » Principal Advisors These functions sit within ?tea a Rangi, the business group of the (Pou Whakatere) Deputy Secretary M?ori in the Ministry of Justice. Our function is to support the Ministry of Justice to innovate ways of partnering with M?ori and making significant relationships and positive impact with whanau, hap? and iwi across strategy, policy and implementation. This is chance for you to use your practice and commitment to M?ori aspirations and wellbeing to contribute to a busy work programme in a supportive kaupapa M?ori environment. He k?rero m? ng? t?ranga nei – About the functions These functions are in the Strategic Relationships and Capcapability team, which has a wide variety of work opportunities available. The team is responsible for: » providing advice and support to Ministers and senior leaders on opportunities for advancing M?ori aspirations through significant partnerships and relationships that will improve results for wh?nau, hap? and iwi » the Ministry’s M?ori partnerships and engagement strategy » developing a strategy for improving the Ministry’s organisational capcapability to partner and engage with M?ori, and » providing advice and support to Ministry business groups who are partnering and engaging with iwi/M?ori directly. Ng? p?kenga me ng? wheako – expertise and practice We are seeking for people with: » practice working with hap?, iwi and/or communities » a commitment to advancing M?ori aspirations and wellbeing » excellent written communication expertise » outstanding relationship expertise, and » machinery of government expertise. The specific expertise and practice required for Advisor, Senior Advisor, and Principal Advisor functions are set out in the job descriptions. Ng? utu m? te kamahi – income ranges The appointing salaries for these functions will be: » Advisor $63,019 – $82,295 located on expertise and practice » Senior Advisor $100,221 – $130,876 located on expertise and practice » Principal Advisor $116,741 – $152,450 located on expertise and practice.
