K?rero m? te t?ranga – About the function
This is a brand new function within the Branch Strategy, Capcapability and Support branch in Policy & Trade.
You will be providing project management support and advice to managers and senior staff members. You will be working with these managers to promote the many ways project management methodology and tools can support MPI’s goals and results all over the Organisation.
 
Another important aspect of this function will be assisting with providing a suite of training and coaching services to develop organisational capcapability in project management. This could be anything from working with small teams on bespoke training or issues, through to delivering project management training to cohorts across the Branch.

M?u – About You
You will be practiced in coorodinating and/or advising on projects and project management practices and have the capability to establish and effectively maintain collaborative relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.

You will also have the following:
   » Prince2 or PMP certification or equivalent
   » Programme Management qualification or similar
   » expertise of government processes
   » expertise of business planning processes
   » practice facilitating a large business through capcapability development
   » Communication expertise, both oral and written, including the capability to communicate technical information effectively to diverse individuals and groups

The Branch Strategy, Capcapability and Support directorate provides planning, business reporting and advice, accountcapability reporting and a wide variety of general support to the Policy and Trade branch.
Our function is to provide an environment that allows the branch to deliver on its work programme commitments to our leadership abilities team, Ministers, and the New Zealand public.
