As a small organisation we punch above our weight, working together with and for Wellington to create remarkable practices that generate vitality, strengthening the city we love. We offer incredible audience practices across our six sites; City Gallery Wellington, Capital E, Wellington Museum, Space Place, Cable Car Museum and Nairn Street Cottage.
Capital E focuses on the National Theatre for Children productions which tour creative, immersive, and inclusive shows across the country, performing to thousands of children and young people, including the biennial National Arts Festival for Children.
Our close-knit team located at Capital E are looking for someone to coordinate the safe, cost efficient and timely delivery of technical and production aspects of our live productions and events. this function contributes to the operation and delivery an artistically robust, innovative programmes.
We're looking for someone who is practiced in:
• demonstrating high levels of organisational and planning abilities
• developing technical riders and communicating our requirements to venues
• keeping technical touring equipment in prime condition
• helping our people flourish by keeping our teams safe in everything they do
• maintaining good working relationships with our suppliers and significant industry players, keeping up to date with new technologies and ways of working
• a working knowledge of the Guide for Safe Working Practices in the Theatre and Entertainment Industry and how to write and use a risk analysis matrix.
Bringing high energy, a proactive, can do attitude and focus, you will work with us to make great things happen for tamariki and rangatahi of Aotearoa.
