Java, Full stack DeveloperLocation All AucklandAuckland Job type Temporary Salary to Category Engineering > IT & Telecommunications » » » Our Client is one of the world largest technology companies ABOUT THE ROLE » You will be working as a Java, Full Stack Developer for a new initiative » Strong in Java experience that enjoys building micro services. » You will be involved in designing, architect, development, testing, implementation, maintain functionality within our core applications and working closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and the QA Team to deliver quality releases » You will be passionate about driving change and improvements in Development, test automation and the continuous delivery spaces, improving software quality, delivering software faster and more reliably. » You'll be working in small teams where collaboration and relationship building is key. We are interested in people who enjoy a dynamic, rapidly changing environment, who don't get attached to a particular technology or practice and importantly who want to drive change in the organisation. »The role is for 6 months contract with potential for extension. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE » Extensive experience in gathering the full scope of projects and coordinate with team members, supporting projects from concept to launch » Contribute ideas and make recommendations for features and systems that are aligned with organizations' goals and priorities » Extensive experience in designing and implementing microservices, back-end databases, classes, libraries, and other core structures that developers use, with a balanced approach that allows for scalability and flexibility with performance in mind » Assisting other developers by sharing knowledge and conducting code reviews to increase the overall effectiveness of the team » Working with colleagues to create tools for internal processes and reporting, allowing them to perform tasks more efficiently and providing access to decision-making data at all levels of the organization » Creating and maintaining documentation in code as well as shared team documentation » Strong programming skills in Java. » Strong programming skills in designing and developing Microservices using Spring Boot framework. » Expertise in development in cloud computing platform (Google Cloud and/or AWS) » Strong JavaScript development experience with single-page applicatoin frameworks like Ember, Angular, React, Vue. » Experience in implementing designs using HTML5 and CSS3. » Expertise in Scripting using Python, Bash and Groovy. » Experience with Configuration Management and Build Tools (e.g., Git, Subversion, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins and/or Travis) » Experience with MongoDB and/or Oracle » Expertise in setting up containers such as Kubernetes/GKE/OpenShift for running microservices. » Experience with CI/CD pipline automation such as Codefresh, Jenkins » Good verbal and written communication skills. » 5+ years of experience in related technologies EDUCATION » A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related field is required.
