Offer: Male Kiwifruit Flower Picking:CJS Family TrustJob description:CJS Family Trust, Motueka - Nelson-Marlborough Male Kiwifruit Flower Picking, Agriculture and Forestry Seasonal jobs inMotueka Nelson-Marlborough New Zealand Am needing people to pick male Kiwifruit flower.The work is not physically demanding but because the vines are grown on a pergola structure about 190 cm high very tall or shorter people may struggle. The block is 0.65 Ha and is all male vines. Information technology is located in the Motueka River Valley 10 km south of Motueka in the Tasman region. I don't run a pick up service The entire block is picked every day as not all flower is ready at the same time. Historically Information technology takes up to 8 hours to pick the block when the flowering is at it's peak. Flower maturity is weather dependent. Warm sunny days will bring the flowering on while cool cloudy days will slow the process down. The work is done on a contract basis. The pay rate will be $12 per kilo picked. Good pickers can pick up to 30 kgs in an 8 hour day when the flowering is at it's peak. The season lasts for approximately 2 weeks and usually starts around November 18th.
