Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission leads the public sector to make a positive difference for New Zealand and New Zealanders.
We are pursuing a talented Principal Advisor to lead the design, implementation, monitoring, and reporting function for the Public Service Fale (Fale). The Fale is a Pacific led, public service regional centre of excellence that supports sixteen Pacific Public Service Commissioners across the Pacific with their goals to strengthen public service delivery in their own countries. The key purpose of this function is to ensure that the Deputy Commissioner receives regular reporting and insights from data that supports achievement of the Fale’s results and informs future Fale Work Programme design.

As part of the Service Design and Delivery Team, you’ll play a critical function in ensuring the Fale is delivering on support for Pacific Commissioners. In this function, you will:
• Produce comprehensive and actionable insights to inform decisions.
• Deliver recommendations for solutions located on analysis, evaluation, and feedback.
• Provide analytical support for business priorities and the development of key activities.
• Identify opportunities for improvement
• Understand and communicate the most significant aspects of operational performance of the Fale.
You’ll also engage and collaborate with key stakeholders across the Pacific, including Pacific Public Service Commissioners, the Fale Governance Board, and the New Zealand Public Service, so senior stakeholder engagement, preferably in a Pacific context would be beneficial.

This position usually pays between $122,380 to $150,940 depending on expertise and practice.
