The is a well setup and structured residential construction company that are recognised as providing high quality delivery on a wide variety of residential and Multi-unit housing projects. They are now seeking to appoint an practiced project manager to front the builds of multiple housing projects for Kainga Ora and as well as private clients. They are mainly multiple social housing projects and vary between 1- 5 BRM 2/3 storey walk-ups and town houses, duplex's and standalone housing. The business is growing and they have secured more contracts.
Many of the sites are south of the city. this function also offers the opportunity to move into a Construction Manager function as the business builds and a new layer is required.

Reporting to a Director, your key accountabilities are:
   » Project management of the entire project from planning through completion
   » Civils including drainage
   » Completion of significant paperwork including EACC and CCC's
   » Monitoring of all processes in order to ensure the highest quality of work is produced, plus ensuring site staff are well mentored
   » Commercial Management
   » Managing the client, including Kainga Ora and being able to act with diplomacy when communicating
   » Site management including sub contractor management, supplier management, H&S, QA, staff management
Key background for this function requires:
   » 8+ years practice in the multi residential/commercial construction/building industry in NZ with a carpentry trade background
   » practice across $5M+ multi-unit housing construction plus sub divisional/civil practice for housing developments
   » Excellent commercial consciousness
   » Solid leadership abilities capability and capability to mentor less practiced site staff
   » Strong organisational and time management expertise as well as strong problem-solving capability
   » Strong knowledge of all Council required compliance and documentation
   » Health and Safety leadership abilities
