The Company

This employer is dedicated to independently promoting and protecting the rights of people using health and discapability services in New Zealand. Providing people using health and discapability services with a voice, resolving complaints, and holding providers to account for improving their practices at an individual and system-wide level.

The function

this function will be providing trusted advice to the Commissioner on policy connected with the care of older people. You will be leading the development and implementation of the aged care policy work programme. This is an exciting function for a Senior to step-up who has a passion for the health and discapability sector. A new opportunity to make a direct impact on the sector by analysing information, providing high quality advice, and writing briefings.

About You

Use your broad policy and analytical skills to make a difference all over New Zealand. You’ll have a comprehensive knowledge of the health and wellbeing of older people and use this to develop the aged care work programme. If you have the below skills and practice and are looking for your next chance to step up, I would love to hear from you!

• Knowledge of the health and discapability sector
• Well-developed relationship management skills
• capability to critically analyse and interpret complex information
• capability to lead teams and projects
• Strong Policy practice and knowledge
• Strong knowledge on machinery of government
• Clinical background would be ideal
