TAPAC, The Auckland Performing Arts Centre at Western Springs, is seeking a Community & Communications Coordinator to join our small, enthusiastic team. We're looking for a proactive and confident relationship-builder with excellent communication expertise and a passion for the performing arts. This is a wide-ranging function, requiring a range of expertise - from scheduling and project coordination to storytelling and content creation. As TAPAC's key contact with our diverse range of community-located and professional performing arts groups, you will play a vital function in connecting with the community and creatively communicating everything that TAPAC has to offer.

Key Responsibilities :
   » Managing community bookings for TAPAC's four performing arts studios and theatre, including: handling contracts; setting up ticketing; monitoring bookings; rostering front of house staff and ushers; supporting and helping to build the creative expertise and capabilities of a diverse range of groups
   » Marketing TAPAC, its education programmes and events, including: managing TAPAC's website; creating online and offline marketing collateral and sharing Information technology across a range of platforms; writing TAPAC's newsletter, media releases and managing publicity for TAPAC co-productions.

   » Excellent administration and project management expertise, along with the capability to work under pressure to deadlines
   » The capability to creatively problem-solve
   » Collaborative work style
   » Process and systems oriented and the able to manage large volumes of information efficiently
   » The capability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks
   » Confident communicating in person, on the phone and via email
   » Strong written and verbal communication expertise
   » Tech savvy and comfortable working across different online platforms
   » Previous digital marketing practice is an advantage (along with basic CMS expertise, Facebook ads, Mailchimp, Adobe and Canva)
   » Basic expertise of live theatre and previous practice in the performing arts industry is preferred, but not essential

Hours of Work : This is a full-time function of 40 hours a week located at TAPAC in Western Springs. Some shift work may be required.
