We are pursuing people who are interested in sales, transport/capital plant, and may even have a mechanical background. These functions will involve, but are not limited to the following: - New business development through a mixture of cold calling, lead generation, and networking - Meeting with customers to understand their needs - Preparing quotes and proposals - Negotiating pricing - On-going account management - Ensuring seamless delivery of a customer's product - Working collaboratively with a wider team Travel will be required in some cases, and all candidates must have a valid New Zealand drivers license and either permanent residency or citizenship. Our ideal candidate will have sales practice, but I am also open to those who are passionate about building a career in sales but may have hands on mechanical expertise. Highly desirable is practice in the heavy transport sector - this could be in sales, or as a driver, or mechanic. If you do not have sales practice, then you must be able to demonstrate sales qualities such as drive, motivation, committment, and the capability to work autonomously.
