As part of the Government’s Joint Venture, introduced in 2018, we have a function to play in delivering an integrated, whole-of-government approach to family violence and sexual violence.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that is responsible for supporting our cross-agency family violence and children at risk work, for example the Integrated Safety Response and Wh?ngaia Ng? P? Harakeke, through reviewing, assessing and providing information to our partner agencies. As a Safety Response Coordinator, you will have an opportunity to collaborate with fellow Joint Venture agencies and specialist family violence NGOs to support risk assessment and safety planning for families and wh?nau impacted by family violence.
What We are seeking for from you to be prosperous in this function includes the following:
   » Previous practice in a function which required an knowledge of complex customer needs in a whole of system environment
   » practice working in partnership with both internal and external stakeholders
   » capability to build rapport and trust with other agencies to ensure a solution focused and coordinated approach
   » capability to operate effectively in a digital environment with a wide variety of technology systems and tools
   » Sound knowledge of the legislative and regulatory environment governing ACC’s activities, specifically the Accident Compensation Act, Family Violence Act, Oranga Tamariki Act, and the Privacy Act
   » practice in safely handling personal information and consciousness of privacy and other legislation
   » Excellent written communication expertise including proven capability to quickly grasp complex situations and provide a concise rationale of your decisions, including how they comply with legislation
   » Personal resilience and capability to deal with challenging information and situations
   » Self-consciousness of your resilience and well-being requirements

The base income for our Safety Response Coordinator function will start from $57,938. We also offer an additional 9% superannuation contribution.
As a Safety Response Coordinator, you will be required to meet the business need of working a seven days per week roster. The hours of work are 40 hours per week, Monday – Sunday between the hours of 7am – 4pm, including statutory holidays. We expect the roster to be reliable and you will be provided with due notice. However, occasionally you will be required to be on call to cover unexpected absences, this is rostered well in advance. If there are prosperous candidates who wish to work permanently on a weekend day, this may result in a roster with less business need for other team members to work in the weekend.
