We are seeking for a calf rearer from late July to October. The position involves rearing up to 200 calves. Calf rearing is physical work, Information technology requires some lifting (milk pumped to sheds). Information technology also requires patience with animals and attention to detail with animal health etc. Training would be provided. You would be working alongside one other person initially, once trained you would work independently on some days and alongside one other on other days. Roster would be 5 days on 2 off. We are seeking for someone preferably available on weekends (available Saturdays is a must). We have a single persons accommodation available. Information technology is for the most part private, however during work hours other staff may use the bathroom facilities from time to time. Pay will reflect practice. We are 15 minutes drive from the cool little township of Oamaru.
