Production SupervisorLocation Manukau & East AucklandAuckland Job type Full Time Salary to Category Manufacturing/Operations > Supervisor » Manufacturing or Production Supervision experience » Trade qualified in Fabricating, Fitting, and or Welding » Immediate start + Ongoing Training and Development Production Supervisor Wiri, New Zealand Fantastic opportunity for a Production Supervisor We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee the smooth running of our clients Rotational Moulding section. You will provide direct leadership to your team and support production management in ensuring targets are achieved within manufacturing specifications and delivered on time to the customers. You will ensure your staff work within H&S guidelines and encourage them to participate in continuous improvement initiatives. This role is responsible for a day and an afternoon shift, so some flexibility to oversee teams across 2 shifts is required. Your key responsibilities include: » Ensuring production targets are achieved » Ensure your team follow the APD quality and H&S procedures » Be prepared to step in and get your hands dirty when necessary to assist your team to achieve optimal workflow » Ensure quality checks are completed and where issues are found, they are fixed in the most efficient manner » Ensure the equipment in your area is well maintained » Recommend process improvements to achieve optimal production efficiency » Ensure staff are inducted and receive ongoing training & development to continuously improve competency levels » Ensure H & S refresher training is completed on time » Perform quarterly appraisals About You You will have several years proven experience supervising, leading and motivating a small (5-10) manufacturing team and you will have been responsible for ensuring production deadlines are met without loss of quality. You will also: » Have great verbal communication skills » Have proven experience supervising diverse teams of people » Be competent in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel » Have good problem-solving skills » Ideally, have experience with either rotational moulding or the fabrication/welding industry but is not essential » Hold a valid forkhoist licence An excellent remuneration package is on offer and will reflect the importance of this position.
