About our group and team The Ministry of Education’s purpose is to be the lead advisor on the education system, shaping direction for educational agencies and providers and contributing to the Government’s goal for education. The Data and Information Stewardship (DIS) group is looking to secure a passionate BI Developer who want to be part of their reporting journey. Their vision is to enable the organisation to be better at the dissemination of data in order to provide an exceptional customer practice for all New Zealand educational users. About this function The Senior Data Warehouse Developer is responsible for implementing Data Warehouse projects within the Data Solutions and Warehousing team, assisting in streamlining the Ministry’s data and information solutions, and aligning them with the Ministry’s strategic direction, business needs and government and industry standards. Given this is a senior function, you will also help to coach and mentor those less practiced in the team in order to lift their capabilities and champion best practices for a reporting solution. About you A person that has at least 7 to 10 years’ practice in data warehouse development, who is inquisitive, innovative and process driven. You are technically strong in Informatica and SSIS. The person should have the capability to develop complex ETL queries to extract, calculate and manipulate data for various disparate data sources into the data environment. They should have working knowledge of Data Warehouse methodologies with an exposure to Data Vault modelling would be an advantage. Are you ready to make a difference?
