There is an exciting Portfolio Manager function up for grabs located in Auckland in the Healthy Communities team. this function will require individuals to cover several public health and avoidance initiatives within the Healthy Communities team, with the primary focus on Healthy Homes Initiative with a secondary focus being a more general function supporting a range of public health initiatives and contracts such as rheumatic fever avoidance. The Portfolio Managers are part of the Healthy Communities team that sits within the Population Health and avoidance Directorate. This directorate works across sectors to achieve health equity and protect, promote and improve the health and well-being of people, families and communities. The Directorate includes our key national public health functions, emergency management, the National Screening Unit and a range of population health programmes such as oral health, child health, Pacific Health, tobacco control and immunisation. To be prosperous, We are seeking for people who are passionate, adaptable, have an inquisitive and strategic mind, have practice in community co-design or user centred design, and have proven practice in engaging with diverse sectors of our community. As well as significant technical practice and qualifications, you will have a can-do attitude with the capability to build strong, robust relationships. A strong focus on health promotion, avoidance and improving equity underpins our groups ethos and work programme.
