Working at Te Tari Taiwhenua | the Department of Internal Affairs, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of New Zealanders.
Reporting to the Director of the Group, you will lead a committed and dedicated team of official correspondence experts in providing support across a number of different ministerial portfolios. The subject areas are diverse and fascinating. And the work is varied, across ministerials, Official Information Act requests, status reports management, oral and written Parliamentary questions, and briefings to support Ministers' engagement with stakeholders.
You will bring depth of proven, positive people leadership abilities, where your attention to detail ensures the work is of high quality, while you equally embrace continuous improvement. You are deeply familiar with OIAs and Parliamentary processes, and take a customer-centric approach to your work.
You're at that stage in your career where you bring a mix of great skills and practices to the job. You can show skills in developing and maintaining excellent relationships, you enjoy working with people, you feel energised coming up with new ideas. You are energised by people and very approachable, and you know how to develop your team to feel empowered and proud of what they do and why they do it.
