Offer: CTU Communications and Campaigns Advisor:CTU Communications and Campaigns Advisor NZ Council of Trade Unions Te Kauae KaimahiJob description:Job DescriptionThe CTU Communications and Campaigns Strategy is to» Provide strategic communications advice and leadership abilities to the CTU » Build relationships with the media to ensure that worker and union voice is included in media coverage of workers' issues, including social wage and social justice issues » Support raising the profile of people in union including their unions and the CTU generally » Educate union members and build campaigns, through providing resources and campaign material » Build the communications capacity of NZ unions We are seeking for a person who » Understands the importance of connecting to values and promoting positive framing and messaging » Has practice in media management and external communications strategies » Offers strategic communications and campaigns advice » Can prepare resource and information material to support union campaigns » Has writing and publishing expertise to produce internal communications » Understands how to use social media strategically » Can work easily with a range of people » Has a commitment to unionism and social justice issues » Has practice of coordinating and resourcing campaigns » Can adapt and prioritise efficiently and effectively - the function involves juggling multiple balls at once and capability to judge what's important is needed.
