Te ?hua o Te T?runga – The nature of the position
Reporting to the Tumuakoranga – Executive Director, you will be a pivotal member of the senior leadership abilities team ( SLT ) . A respected, cohesive, and highly collaborative team , Information technology behaves with unity of purpose – ?one team, one w?nanga.? The scope of this position, navigates a path of strategic and operational elements, providing leadership abilities for academic and non-academic DynaSpeak kaimahi through participation in strategic planning activities, academic management, and quality education delivery processes. The function actively contributes to the Takiw? strategic and educational delivery planning processes and furthermore, affords subject matter expert in order to discuss, identify, review, and implement education provisions, ensuring pathways, strategic focus and stakeholder issues are addressed.
Taking the lead function in superviseing quality educational delivery of English Language programmes, you will be managing the delivery of programme , superviseing, and managing quality improvement , and ensuring compliance with all academic policies and procedures and all external standard setting. Providing transformative leadership abilities and support for all Takiw? kaimahi , you will be the fixed point for people leadership abilities, performance management and support for all direct reports. Demonstrating a significant work ethic that model's commitment and dedication , you will have capcapability, and humbleness of spirit to lead and inspire others. Championing organisational vison and values, you will coach, motivate, and deliver your team the capability to see the big picture of where the organisation is headed, what it’s capable of, and what Information technology will take to get there. Analysing budgets and financial information to inform strategic and business plans, you will take ownership for budget development and be responsible for revenue and expenditure targets being met.
Developing strategic and operational plans for DynaSpeak, you will ensure educational delivery functions are developed, approved, and executed. Tasked with developing a large range of strategic relationships and networks , you will be at home in the Board room, just as much as you are in the classroom. With high levels of curiosity , you will have a natural gift for connecting people, nurturing relationships , and finding a commonality of purpose.
Quickly establishing and maintaining high trust relationships with iwi, government agencies, other tertiary and satellite providers , you will maintain a collaborative and strategic focal point, one which delivers shared goals and a shared vision.
Ng? tino P?kenga/Wheako – Essential expertise/practices for the function
A Master's qualification in education, educational leadership abilities, or a significant field , and a CELTA or equivalent are a foundation requirement for application to this position .
Further, expertise knowledge and practice required for application are to include;
   » A comprehensive knowledge and knowledge of Tikanga M?ori and practice working within Te Ao M?ori (M?ori World view).
   » A proven skill set and practice in a senior educational leadership abilities.
   » A comprehensive knowledge of current New Zealand education systems, significant education legislation.
   » Demonstrated expertise in English language teaching.
   » A persuasive and inspiring leadership abilities style, able to gain active participation and support for initiatives, from senior leaders, staff, and other significant senior stakeholders.
   » Demonstrated practice in applying cultural frameworks in a significant way.
   » Superior communication expertise, including writing, articulation of thought and influence, and presenting to and facilitating a range of audiences and settings.
   » High cognitive abilities, able to think, plan, and act strategically; to engage others in the vision, and position teams and systems to meet organizational priorities.
   » Skilled in the formation, implementation, and execution of strategic plans.
   » The motivation, energy, and enthusiasm to keep going, even in defeat, supported by a sensitivity of spirt and a humble demeanour.
   » Solid fiscal skill set, strong risk identification and mitigation capcapability, and skilled in knowledge market trends in teaching and learning.
   » A robust and well-rounded business acumen, and political neutrality.
   » A culturally astute and agile leader, able temperature check-in with staff, and knowledge grass roots issues, whilst maintaining a strategic vantagepoint.
