About You
We are seeking for a Principal Advisor to support the Programme Director and join us on our T?huhu journey. We can't guarantee the road won't be bumpy, and full of unusual twists and turns, what we can guarantee is an exciting and fulfilling path!
This is a great opportunity for an practiced Principal Advisor to be part of something special. You will be the right hand to the Programme Director and be able to turn your hand to almost anything including, but not limited to; weekly ministers reports, briefings, internal reporting, ministerial briefings, working with our Comms team around messaging and being alongside the Programme Director every step of the way.
This is a pivotal function for the programme. You will be comfortable working in a programme environment and have a solid knowledge of the workings of Government, you will work in collaboration with mana whenua iwi and M?ori experts and will ideally bring a level of knowledge in te reo. Along with this you will be super organised, proactive and able to anticipate the programme and the Directors' needs. Above all you will demonstrate resilience and comfortable working with ambiguity.

About the mahi
T?huhu – Preserving the Nation's Memory (PtNM)
T?huhu provides a unique once in a life time opportunity for the Crown and M?ori partnership to be integrated into the new physical and cultural infrastructure of Archives New Zealand, the National Library and partners Nga Taonga Sound and Vision.
A key driver for the T?huhu programme is to better meet our obligations to Te Tiriti o Waitangi by engaging, developing and maintaining significant and enduring relationships with those mana whenua iwi upon whose ancestral lands we are constructing our new facilities to house the nations memories.
