K?wai ki te Iwi is DIA’s largest branch and is responsible for Identity and Passport Services, Births, Deaths and Marriages, Citizenship, Charities Services, Authentications, Translations, Digital Transformation and Community Operations – DIA’s network of community development and funding. We are recruiting Team Leaders to join our Services and Access teams in Wellington. These functions will be working across our Night Team. Due to the nature of these functions working during the evenings we require candidates who can commit to working 12.30pm - 9.00pm all over the week. The Team Leader function provides leadership abilities and day-to-day coaching, development, and management of a team, ensuring they have the appropriate expertise and knowledge to consistently deliver efficient, effective, and high-quality services to the people of New Zealand. Our Team Leaders also work with their peers and leadership abilities to contribute, support and implement organisational development and change initiatives to help us achieve our business goals and objectives. About you You will draw on your practice as a people leader to motivate and develop your team, instilling a culture of customer-focused thinking and operating. Under your leadership abilities, your staff will have clear expectations of their responsibilities and will feel well supported in their functions. In addition, you will bring: » Demonstrated practice developing and leading high-performance teams to deliver customer-centric services » The capability to develop a strong knowledge of the applicable legislative and policy frameworks as required for the function » A strong knowledge of the leadership abilities behaviours that foster highly engaged teams » Proven practice managing the delivery of high work volumes in a complex service delivery environment » Excellent relationship management and communication expertise. » New Zealand Citizenship is a requirement for this function.
