We’re looking for a principal level comms and engagement specialist with practice of improving the way organisations connect with their customers.
The function sits within ACC’s comms and engagement team, which is responsible for a range of front-page information campaigns, high-profile behaviour change initiatives, and ambitious programmes to improve the way we deliver health services to injured New Zealanders.
Client focus
Your focus will be on improving the way we communicate and engage with our clients. These are the millions of New Zealanders that rely on us for support every year, following an injury.
Easing the client practice
You’ll be seeking out opportunities to understand customer journeys and make Information technology easier for our clients to interact with us, ensuring they have information that is significant, accessible, and engaging. Working with other specialists across the organisation, you’ll personalise, automate and optimise the way we use web, email, SMS and targeted digital advertising to drive improvements in client satisfaction.
As part of this, you’ll be responsible for marcomms campaigns and engagement activity to ensure clients understand what they’re entitled to and how they can access the services we make available to support their recovery.
Management of complex comms projects
You’ll also be responsible for the design and delivery of complex communications projects and plans to support the development and launch of new ACC services, such as maternal birthing injury support (Melissa’s story: The impact of a maternal birth injury), and changes to existing services.

The indicative income range for his function is between $114,022 and $147,558 and will be dependent on your expertise and practice. We also offer a 9% superannuation on top of the base income.
