The function: Reporting to the Client Services Manager and working with our wider team of specialists, Webb's are seeking an practiced Art professional with a working expertise of NZ Art, Decorative Art and collectables. This is a part time permanent position, located at our Mt Eden premises. The prosperous candidate will be a pragmatic, self-motivated individual with sound organisational expertise who will take initiative in this dynamic, fast paced environment, therefore the capability to multi-task and work under pressure is key. Expectations of this function will include assisting the wider Art and Decorative Arts teams along with other department specialists and our operations teams with a variety of tasks including: » Installation, transport and wrapping of high value artworks and collectables » Assisting with auctions and preview events, specifically setting up of art works, and assisting the operations team with pre and post auction installation requirements » Assisting with the receipt of goods from vendors or potential vendors for appraisal » Assisting with the storage and transportation of high value artworks and decorative art items » Working with our team of specialists assisting with cataloguing and stock management » Opening and closing of Front of House operations as required About you: » Demonstrated and or working expertise of NZ Art, Decorative Arts, and collectables » capability to communicate clearly and effectively » A current Full NZ drivers' licence » Highly organised and able to work under pressure » Exceptional personal presentation » Be able to handle heavy artwork installations and have demonstrated practice with installations Due to the nature of our business, flexibility to work extra hours including late nights and weekends is desired. You must have Legal right to work and live in NZ (you must hold a minimum of NZ Residency).
