Our community of over 70 members are made up of most of the Greater Wellington region's professional arts, culture and heritage organisations, arts service organisations and education institutions, as well as individual and independent practitioners and artists.The purpose of the Membership Coordinator position is to enable Toi o Taraika Arts Wellington to better serve the needs of its membership and the wider sector through delivery of specific strands of its Arts Action Agenda response to Covid-19. this function would likely suit a P?neke local who is a freelance practitioner, well networked in the Wellington arts sector, has strong organizational and communications expertise, and can give 8 hours / 1 day a week around their other mahi (work) to deliver a range of project tasks. You'll be involved in coordinating research, developing and delivering communications and outreach that grows our engagement with members and the wider arts community. You'll also assist with the coordination of quarterly events that relate to our Arts Action Agenda. The function reports to a volunteer Board of trustees, working closely with the Chair and the Administrator. (The Administrator works 3-4 hours a week and is responsible for preparing the trust governance documentation, regular Strategic Fora, managing Trust accounts, and administrating bi-monthly Board meetings.) This is a Contract for Services from July 2021 for a maximum term of two years. Remuneration is $30-35 p/h for 8 hours per week and, excepting in-person events, can be done remotely.
