The function: You will be responsible for the supply and demand information around inventory, reporting on data and effecting purchasing decisions. There is a strong focus on analysis and market trends, so essentially you need to have an eagle eye for the detail and be a great communicator with a passion for the figures you’re working with. Outline of tasks: Main tasks and responsibilities Include: » Monitor inventory levels very closely » Forecasting / managing demand and advising management of increases / decreases. » Keeping track of supply timelines of each individual supplier and adjusting purchases orders accordingly. » Work to an annual purchase order budget. » Assist the team effectively with accurate and reliable advice on stock availcapability. » Follow correct process to ensure authorisation for orders, particularly bulk orders / special orders. » Arrange stock to be airfreighted if required for urgent deliveries Ideally you will have: » Excellent computer expertise » Strong customer service focus, driven to provide prompt and timely service. » Resilience and perseverance » capability to maintain composure under pressure and deal with enquires in a professional manner » A proactive approach » Attention to detail to ensure accurate information is provided » A self-managing personality, comfortable working in a team and solo at times Good timekeeping expertise in order to keep up to date with weekly and monthly tasks as well as urgent tasks practice: » Product knowledge is highly desirable » Administration expertise and able to develop and follow efficient processes » Intermediate level use of Xcel, Word and Outlook » A good knowledge of forecasting and Inventory platforms (eg.
