As the Mechanical Fitter you will be Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the role will involve solving operational or technical equipment problems, performing preventative maintenance, ensuring that site HSE and compliance is met to a high standard and working in a team towards continuous improvement for our plant. Working Week: » 50hrs a week, 1 x sat per week. » Rotating Shifts - 2 weeks days 5am - 3.30pm, 2 weeks afternoons 3.30pm - 2am » Career opportunities Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this is a permanent role working in a small team with the opportunity to advance your career. Skills & Experience: » A mechanical trade qualification or relevant experience » Preventative maintenance experience » Excellent communication skills » Ability to work within a team and be open to learning and growth opportunities » You will be solutions focused and want to make a difference » Flexible and adaptable to work outside of your set times » Strong organization, attention to detail and ability to think on your feet Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: » Troubleshooting equipment related process problems and equipment failures to determine cause and to investigate repairs. » Drive ongoing and preventative maintenance programs. » Record accurate data for analysis on equipment. » Support Engineering and Production personnel on continuous improvements and monitor equipment in order to recommend process improvements. » Testing of equipment and recording equipment data. » Ensure that the workshop is maintained in a clean and safe condition. » Ensure that the Team's tools and equipment are maintained in a clean, complete and safe condition. » Clean and lubricate assembled articles » Operate powered machines that may be manually, or computer controlled » Erect machinery and equipment on site » Inspect machinery regularly and make any adjustments or repairs needed by removing any worn or damaged parts to install replacements, by sending a damaged part to the machine shop for repair or by doing the repair work themselves.
