About us Education Infrastructure Service (EIS), a part of the Ministry of Education, manages the Crown’s second largest property portfolio of around 2,100 schools with a book value of $19.6 billion, the largest payroll in the country, and transportation of over 100,000 students to and from school each day. About the function Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Senior Management Accountant supports Group Managers, Managers and their teams through meeting financial and statutory reporting requirements and undertaking specific activity to help to improve the processes administered by these teams and the wider EIS Group. You will be responsible for the provision of management accounting services including budgets, forecasting, modelling, management reporting and planning, service costing, benchmarking, and developing the financial capcapability of managers. You will also provide analytical financial information and advice to EIS leadership abilities for decision support and to help them carry out their responsibilities. About you You will have a Tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, economics or a similar business discipline and demonstrated knowledge and practice of management accounting, and will be a Chartered Accountant (or equivalent qualification recognised by CAANZ) with a minimum of three years post qualification practice. You will also offer the following: » A proven track record of practice and achievement in managing business planning and budgeting, activity costing and modelling scenarios and managing and reporting on complex budgets » Advanced spread sheeting and financial modelling expertise » Excellent communications expertise, able to demonstrate the capability to influence and teach others » practice in an asset intensive organisation, preferably with property practice.
