We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Care Services to lead our clinical and care teams. The successful candidate will champion clinical excellence and the resident experience. This role is based at a boutique aged care facility and is pivotal in maintaining a commitment to quality care and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities:
   » Lead and drive the Private Care Model, ensuring a resident-focused, holistic, and continuous care approach. Foster a culture of excellence and innovation in nursing services.
   » Monitor competitor activity and identify potential business opportunities. Establish partnerships with external providers to enhance our services.
   » Develop and maintain an education program for clinical staff, ensuring competence in care delivery. Recruit and retain nursing and care staff in alignment with our care philosophy.
   » Ensure compliance with regulatory and certification requirements. Promote continuous improvement in resident safety, independence, and quality of life.
   » Collaborate with the Nurse Practitioner to provide outstanding primary care services to residents. Ensure timely documentation of all resident interactions.
   » Create an environment where residents feel individually attended to. Develop processes for authentic resident choice and uphold the premium nature of our service.
   » Promote a culture of safety and compliance with Oceania Healthcare Health & Safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications/ Experience / Knowledge:

Registered Nurse in New Zealand with a current practicing certificate and at least 10 years of experience, including a minimum of 5 years at senior management level.

Post-graduate tertiary qualification in nursing or a relevant health-related area

Proven leadership in nursing and hospitality management

Experience in private nursing or private hospital-level service, including strategic clinical service planning.

Strong team management skills with an understanding of Ministry of Health reporting requirements.

Excellent customer relationship skills and human resource management experience.

Financial acumen and IT literacy, including experience with InterRAI and electronic health record systems.

Previous roster development experience and the ability to train clinical staff at all levels.
