Wintec is one of NZ’s largest Institutes of Technology providing quality education and training in the Waikato. Our Centre of Health and Social Practice delivers health professional programs in nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, counselling, social work and primary health care. If you value working collaboratively and have the skills and practice to teach core counselling theory, skills and practice components we are keen to hear from you. This position is a full-time, permanent position. To be eligible for consideration, you will demonstrate the following: » Have a competent application of m?tauranga M?ori in education and/or a well-being sector » Hold a postgraduate qualification in a counselling, addictions, or a related field » Have strong networks in the health and social well-being sector Ideally you will also have the following; » Hold a tertiary teaching qualification » Hold registration or be eligible to register with a counselling or similar registration body » Possess a valid permit to live and work in New Zealand » Have proven skills in both face-to-face and on-line teaching moderation and assessment » Be able to teach te Tiriti o Waitangi related content, tikanga and te reo » Be active in research, scholarship and/or critical reflective research » Have access to reliable wifi services enabling frequent use of Moodle, Zoom and other teaching/learning platforms One of New Zealand’s leading tertiary institutes, Wintec’s focus is on innovation and a future vision.
