this function is responsible for loading and maintaining the NZIFF website and delivering an optimal practice for users of the NZIFF website. this function is also responsible for coordinating and writing material for NZIFF online communications including EDMs and everyday reminder emails during the festival period. This is a full time contract function from 23 August to 26 November and can be located in Auckland or Wellington.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / NG? TAKOHANGA
   » Managing the loading of the NZIFF website using the bespoke Content Management System for the 2021 festival (includes, but not limited to, film information, ticketing information, venue information, news items, tour guides, photo galleries, screening schedules, downloadable programme catalogues, advertisements, sponsor logos)
   » Ensuring the website is checked in advance of going live
   » Liaising with external ticketing agencies and venues to ensure the smooth integration of the website and ticketing platform(s)
   » continuing monitoring of web traffic, performance and capacity including identifying/preventing and resolving issues
   » Editing copy supplied by Publications Editor/Publicists for use on website
   » Work closely with website developers to ensure development work is delivered on deadline and that the website meets the technical and functional requirements
   » Manage and report on website visitation
   » Ensure the website is kept updated and vibrant to encourage repeat visitation
   » Work effectively with Publicists to plan updates for website
   » Action any programme updates on website as required
   » Contribute/implement improvements to website
   » In consultation with the Communications and Marketing Manager and National Publicist, develop EDM schedule
   » Managed NZIFF's e-newsletter distribution and subscriber database
   » Write copy for e-newsletters
   » Schedule everyday e-newsletter updates with programme session times for the duration of NZIFF in each town/city
   » Assist with resizing and cropping of images for venues and ticketing agencies
   » Assist with preparing and supplying copy for venues and ticketing agencies
   » Compile additional programme resources including film reviews and press materials, publicity and marketing imagery for use by Promotions Team
REQUIRED expertise AND practice / NG? PUKENGA
   » broad practice using a complex Content Management System (NZIFF's CMS is bespoke)
   » Demonstrated knowledge of user practice of websites
   » Knowledge of web traffic metrics
   » Computer Literacy: Advanced expertise using CMS platforms, Advanced expertise using Mailchimp, Intermediate expertise using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook and practice using project management, scheduling or CRM software/platforms. practice using Adobe Photoshop and HTML coding practice an advantage.
   » Advanced copywriting and editing expertise for formal and information online communication
   » Highly effective verbal and interpersonal communication expertise
   » Effective research expertise
   » Highly organised with attention to detail
   » practice working autonomously and as part of a team
   » Able to work effectively under pressure
   » Positive and outgoing attitude
   » A strong interest in, and knowledge of, film industry and culture is an advantage
