We are home to theAuckland Design Manual(ADM), the Auckland Urban Design Panel (AUDP) and theCity Centre Masterplan(CCMP), and we are recognised forour capability to shape the urban design and landscape conversations across T?maki Makaurau. We have a great and unique opportunity to create a new website platform for the Auckland Design Manual - Auckland Council's one-stop-shop, best practice design platform for the city. The ADM provides guidance and design standards for residential and commercial developments, M?ori and Universal Design, and public realm transformation, and Information technology supports quality design practices that are in alignment with Auckland Council's vision and strategies for the city. The ADM provides a unique web-located platform for best practice design assistance, and is used nationally and internationally for guidance and inspiration. As the city continues to practice unprecedent growth and investment, the ADM will continue to play a pivotal function in shaping, promoting and improving the quality of T?maki Makaurau's natural and built environment. He angit?tanga: The opportunity As the Principal Specialist Design and Digital Content you will be working with Council's communications, brand, ICT and stakeholder teams to create a new website for the ADM including developing the website's look, feel, information architecture, functionality and content. You will be responsible for ensuring that the new website is significant, inspiring and meets stakeholder needs. You will be working with our talented team of designers to prepare content that is informative and contemporary, and that will help to achieve quality design results for the city. You will be developing and driving the brand and digital design strategy, and will be the key point of contact for all matters related to the Auckland Design Manual. He k?rero m?u: About you You must have excellent visual, computer graphic, written and oral communication expertise, advanced expertise in developing and managing digital content, and strong web-design expertise. You will have excellent interpersonal and relationship expertise and practice at presenting and communicating web-located and digital design concepts to a range of stakeholders. You will require a tertiary qualification in the area of Media and Digital Design, or comparable practice, and 7 to 8 years' practice working in the areas of digital design, media production and content development. practice driving a digital strategy, and brand development and management, will be ideal - as will exposure to the built environment context.
