About our group and team BE&S – Business Enablement and Support Group Commissioning and Communities Procurement team The Business Enablement and Support Group deliver well-connected, efficient, and effective corporate services that enable our people to deliver their best every day. Our Procurement Services Network brings together five procurement teams with procurement professionals collaborating on key deliverables and procurement opportunities. The Commissioning and Communities Procurement Team sits under the BE&S umbrella and within the wider procurement team that works across the Ministry of Education and the Education Sector. The team procures solutions, social wrap- around and support services. These services support student learning activities, learning support programmes, Iwi, and community engagement programmes, amongst other services. About the functions Reporting to the Commissioning and Communities Procurement Manager, you will work with colleagues to deliver and manage high quality procurement processes. These are varied and interesting functions that will also see you provide informative procurement advice, guidance, sourcing strategies, to a wide variety of stakeholders, both internally and externally, aligned to our procurement policies, processes and in conformity with good practice, and NZ Government Procurement Rules. The Senior Procurement Specialist function is responsible for as follows: » Creating, communicating, refining and delivery of procurement life cycle process in relation to specified groups, and will support the business through procurement in a Ministry ?centre-led' manner, championing the quality of execution of the end- to end procurement process. this function will ensure that the markets are pro-actively and appropriately managed and that key supplier and spend categories are delivering and maximising fiscal and education benefits » The function will provide specialist procurement leadership abilities and support for Group Managers and teams, including working collaboratively to execute needs analysis, develop sourcing strategies, establish procurement plans, and manage high quality procurement processes that deliver tangible value to each Group and the wider Ministry The Principal Procurement Specialist function is the following: » A self-starting proactive function that will provide specialist procurement insight, mentoring and support for Group Managers and teams, including working collaboratively to execute needs analysis, develop sourcing strategies, establish procurement plans, and manage high quality procurement processes that deliver tangible value to each Group and the wider Ministry » Responsible for creating energy and enthusiasm within the customer, communicating and delivery of the ?end to end' procurement life cycle, as well as identifying and implementing areas of improvement through the procurement of products and services that support the Ministry, the Education Sector and Schools About you If you love the pursuit of excellence and are inspired by the challenges that come through driving solutions, then we invite you to lgain more about the Commissioning and Communities team and the value we deliver to our customers and partners. You will have as follows: » Three to five years highly developed procurement practice in leading the delivery of procurement results within a large government agency or similar complex organisation » A significant tertiary qualification is essential and/or CIPS (Level 4) » consciousness or desire to develop Te Reo M?ori and M?ori tikanga is advantageous. The capability to understand and apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and tangata whenuatanga » practice in using MS Office applications » Good oral and written communication expertise, effective relationship building expertise with internal and external stakeholders » Accuracy and attention to detail working with data and reports » Good time management expertise, with the capability to prioritize, work effectively as part of a team » practice and knowledge of the Public Sector procurement environment, including the Government rules of sourcing Are you ready to make a difference?
