Farm adjunct:Job description:Farm adjunctPayment: Accommodation & Paid ($25+)Job location: Ashubrton Region: Christchurch & Canterbury practice: No practice Necessary Listing Added: 02/10/2022 We are seeking for a Farm adjunct / Herd Manager with drive and passion to work with us to achieve top quality results. We are goal orientated, target driven and take pride in all we do. We strive to excel in best practice when Information technology comes to staff, animal welfare and the environment. This is a diverse function and we like to have our team involved in all aspects of the farm operation. Ideally you would have the following attributes: - Previous dairy farm practice is desirable, but training can be provided for the right person; - Enthusiasm and a availability to learn; - Strong work ethic and pride in the work you do; - Honest, motivated and reliable; - capability to implement farm polices and plans; - Physically capable of performing the function; and - A positive attitude Our farm peak milks 750 cows and our new member will be working with a team to assist with day-to-day tasks on farm which include feeding, milk harvesting, ensuring animal health, and implementing environmental management practices.
